Good news, folks! It looks as though Steve Jobs’ digital music juggernaut may soon have some competition, and from a very able source: Google. The search engine giant is in the final stages of talks with label executives to open their very own digital download store and be the first major company to launch a cloud based song locker. If that last part is true, it could mean big trouble for Apple and iTunes. This news comes as iTunes 10 and Ping launched to mixed reviews on September 1st.
