Indie Ambassador goes South: SXSW 2010

Written by Chris Cave Posted in: Events on March 14, 2010

With a beautiful nor’easter behind us, we’re Austin bound. Loaded with tons of Indie Ambassador SWAG, 140+ gallons of veggie oil and enough red bull to keep the SIDEbus between the lines for 2,000 miles, we’re hoping to reach Texas by late Monday night or early Tuesday. A ruptured fuel pump delayed a few last minute projects, but we picked up the bus at 6PM last night and were ready to roll. Soon after, a quick trip to Home Depot allowed for a lovely carpet installation, adding an additional shade to the already eclectic SIDEbus interior.

We’re hoping for some dry weather en route to Austin so we can put on the Indie Ambassador branding, the only project that we weren’t able to finish. A big thanks to Ardon Vinyl, Ames on Demand, Boston Fuel Injection and Hemlock Ink for coming through for us over the last few weeks. We had a lot to accomplish in order to head south and they limited the headaches and produced some great product. We’re pumped to finally unveil the Indie Ambassador platform to SXSW attendees hungry for some forward progress in the music industry. We’re excited to announce the upcoming launch of the Alliance Campaign. We’ve been hard at work preparing version 2 of our homepage. Anyone interested in Indie Ambassador will be able to sign up for a free account, follow our progress and participate in upcoming giveaways. Eligible users will be entered to win 1 of 2 iPod Touches loaded with the Sidehatch catalog and a slew of other goodies. More info on the Alliance Campaign will be announced on Tuesday. Lastly, be sure to follow us on the bIog, Twitter or Facebook to see what we’re up to while in Austin. Until next time!
