Events: Together Festival 2011
Written by Indie Ambassador Posted in: Events on May 17, 2011
Scenes. Every city has them. But they often remain isolated from one another, missing out on countless opportunities for collaboration and artistic synergy. Enter Boston’s Together Festival, a week-long soiree whose mission is to unite these seemingly autonomous artistic communities for the purpose of strengthening and promoting our city’s creative roots. Now in its second year, the week-long festival is focused primarily in electronic music and features a variety of panels, seminars, demos and performances.
Interview w/ Together Festival Founder David Day
After hanging out at Together Festival 2011, Indie Ambassador TV jumped over to the Dig Publishing offices to chat with festival founder David Day about the festival's background and his team's aspirations for years to come. In addition to the full interview, we've included a few vignettes after the jump highlighting musicians and companies in attendance this year.

Silent Storm Sound System
Imagine walking into a party that’s silent, yet everyone in attendance is somehow grooving in unison. Using wireless headphones, Silent Storm Sound Systems (known for throwing these silent discos) is taking dancers and musicians of all types by, well, storm. We caught up with George Gayl -- the native Bostonian entrepreneur leading the movement in America -- and Sarah T. to talk about this really cool concept.
